Overview of Options

To begin reading the play, just click "Go" on the left.

Navigation
  • Logo: Clicking on the logo in the upper left corner will bring you back to the main page.
  • Jump To: View Act - display the selected chapter with any options that are set. Please set this to "View" to use the search function.
    Concordance - This will give you a concordance for the current act and scene selected, listed by frequency and alphabetically.
  • Act/Scene: Select the act and scene you wish to start with here.
  • Start/End: This allows you to look up specific parts of the text based on line numbering. Please note that an ending line number is not required. You can then bookmark your favorite passages for later reference.
  • Pagination: This allows you to view the text in smaller pieces. The numbers are the number of lines per page you will see.

Search

  • Search: Enter your keywords in the box and this will locate them in the various editions. Multiple words are treated as a phrase. If you want to find a word and none of its derivatives, e.g. "Run" without "running", just enter a space after the word.

Preferences

  • Preferences: Currently inactive.
  • Background/Foreground: If you prefer to use custom colors, enter their name or hex equivalents here. (Examples- White=FFFFFF, Black=000000).
  • Line Numbers: Turns line numbers on or off. The default is off.

Other Options

  • Bookmarks: When viewing the text, you will note that you can "Bookmark this" selection, "View" your bookmarks, or "Clear" them. Bookmarks are saved using cookies, so your browser should have them enabled.
